Environment and Artistic Goals

General

The style of NAS can be described as very basic shapes that have simple shading with density more focused on the different mode areas. The function of this art style is to be easily readable to players so that they can build their world with simple visual understanding.

Layout

The environment easily lays out trails that indicate how each of the buildings connects from one to another. It starts at the manufacturer, then both trails lead to the distributor, which leads to the consumer. Density for the manufacturer is heavily based on the number of cows and the space they take up. The density of the distribution will be the least dense. The density for the stores with be the densest as the number of stores will be increasing.

The layout of the game will display the districts clustered together to create giant cities. While the districts are clustered, there is structure behind it. The goal is to make sure the districts are contained in a tile, to make the game appear organized and pleasing to the eye.
